PQ 478

478. Deputy Mick Wallace asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs if, in view of Ireland's growing jazz music scene, she has considered setting up a funding allocation which would be dedicated to this particular genre of music; if she will consider establishing a dedicated jazz venue in Dublin, along the lines of the Bimhuis in the Netherlands which is subsidised annually by the Dutch Government, in view of the lack of specialised venues here and an upcoming closure of a venue (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter.
