Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he is aware that there are many families who have availed of the remediation available under the defective block grant scheme and that have not been issued with a letter of assurance that issues as per section 21 of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks Act 2022 for a long period of time; and if he is aware that these delays impact on the ability of these homeowners to insure their homes.
