51 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the acknowledgement by the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council conclusions from its meeting in Brussels on 21-22 November 2005 that Israeli activities including the construction of the apartheid wall, settlement building and home demolitions threaten to make any solution based on the coexistence of two viable states physically impossible and are contrary to international law and in particular in view of the fact that these activities are in breach of the fourth Geneva Convention outlawing collective punishment, he will urge the EU to suspend the Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement with Israel under Article 2 of that agreement which provides its suspension on the grounds of non-compliance with international law and human rights.
