Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will confirm that the lowest Dublin Bus fare has gone up by around 56% from 2011 over the past three years; the way this will encourage an increase in public transport use and help with traffic congestion which is chronic in Dublin city centre; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the increasing bus fares is causing a financial burden on bus users; his policy on improving Dublin's public transport; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
