Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his attention has been drawn to the condition of the R312 road in County Mayo; if his attention has been further drawn to the fact that it is the main road linking Erris to Mayo University Hospital and its condition is the cause of significant distress caused to persons accessing health services at the hospital especially via ambulance; if an emergency report on the condition of the road will be requested from Mayo County Council; and if the necessary support will be put in place for urgent works.
