Deputy Louise O'Reilly asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to an issue with children under six years of age and over awaiting sequential and bilateral cochlear implants at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9, or Temple Street; when theatre and capacity issues referred to in Parliamentary Question No. 467 of 8 June 2016 will be addressed; the action being taken by the HSE; if he is aware of significant numbers of children waiting for these implants; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
