Deputy Emmet Stagg asked the Minister for Finance if he will review the section 35 restrictions on credit unions with a view to relaxing the one-year freeze on the granting of further credit to members where their loan has been rescheduled, in view of the continuing improvements in the economy and evidence provided by the Irish League of Credit Unions to his Department on the negative impact the maximum loan limits are having on the operation of credit unions.
