561 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the progress that has been made with regard to a piece on his Department’s website which states the new legislation targeted for introduction in the Houses of the Oireachtas in the latter half of 2001, was intended to replace the Foreshore Acts and make provision for appeals in relation to foreshore leases and for an extended role for local authorities in relation to the coastal zone; the reason this targeted legislation was not introduced; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
