Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if his attention has been drawn to the fact that over 1,500 people attended a recent public meeting in County Donegal to outline their concerns about crime in the county, in particular, attacks on the elderly in their homes; if he will ensure that he deploys the necessary resources and personnel to An Garda Síochána in the county; if he will ensure that community alert and neighbourhood watch schemes are revitalised and adequately resourced; and if he will ensure that all elderly persons with limited financial resources are supported to have security alert systems in their homes.
