Deputy Ryan O'Meara asked the Minister for Transport the authoritative body or individual that will lead and co-ordinate relevant stakeholders in the implementation of the Road Safety Strategy and be responsible for the delivery of its target of halving deaths and serious injuries on roads this decade, following the decision to not pursue the establishment of Road Safety Commissioner model or an equivalent statutory accountability model such as those in place in Sweden, Norway and Finland; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
