Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs in relation to adoptions from USA the number of packs currently with American agencies; if she will clarify which American Adoption agencies the Adoption Authority of Ireland is willing to cooperate with; the number of packs already in the USA that will be affected if ARC comes on board, fees, process and so on, would a situation similar to what happened in Bulgaria be repeated, how packs already in the USA will be affected if ARC does not come on board; if it be left to individual American agencies to proceed as they wish in respect of additional fees they may wish to charge PAPs; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
