138 Ms O’Sullivan asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the fact that in the period between 1 January and 23 September 2005 more than €249 million has been repaid to taxpayers on foot of reviews conducted by the Revenue Commissioners at taxpayers’ requests, the Revenue is taking any steps to ensure greater accuracy of returns; if, in particular, there are plans for information campaigns to ensure that taxpayers are made fully aware of all their entitlements and are claiming all credits and allowances provided for; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
