Deputy Joan Collins asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if, noting that the HomeBond company which led house purchasers to believe they were insured against major structural damage, has shown surplus funds of €25 million which will not be called upon for major structural damage for houses built before HomeBond negotiated backing by a real insurance company in 2008, he will ensure that these funds are used to remediate HomeBond guaranteed housing damaged by heave inducing pyrite.
