Deputy Joanna Tuffy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if she will provide an update on the implementation of the third report of the Advisory Group on Tax and Social Welfare, which makes recommendations in relation to the extension of social insurance cover for the self-employed; if her Department will liaise with the Department of Finance to ensure that if there are changes to income tax affecting the self-employed, the report's recommendations could be implemented alongside those changes; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
