Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Defence further to Parliamentary Question No. 502 of 15 April 2014, the person who made the decision for the military ceremonial element to be removed from the church on the basis that it was no longer considered appropriate and the criteria used to determine the nature of what is or is not appropriate; and if he will expand further on what exactly is meant by the term inclusive; if there any consultation between his Department and Army personnel in arriving at this decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
