Deputy Frankie Feighan asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will consider engaging with management of local authorities to examine the extent of uncompleted housing estates with infrastructural deficits beyond the resources of the local authority and available bonds; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are people living in unfinished housing estates with sewerage overflowing and local authorities having the on-going costs of dealing with such matters; and if so, if he will consider setting up a fund similar to the mica re-dress scheme to deal with this serious issue mainly in the west of Ireland.
