PQ 59

59. Deputy Patricia Ryan asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications the reason a housing estate in County Kildare (details supplied) was not included in the laying of fibre broadband cables when it was supplied to all surrounding areas only a short number of metres down the road, meaning residents can only access extremely poor, intermittent Internet connection, no matter what supplier is used, and therefore cannot avail of any opportunity to work or study from home; and if he will provide a possible timeline for this estate’s omission to be rectified.
