Deputy Tony McLoughlin asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 124 of 26 April 2016 (details supplied), the way in which small and medium enterprises could compete for this tender; why a lot was not broken down into smaller lots; if he is aware that companies that did not price every single item on the list were excluded from the tender; if this tender is in compliance with Circular 10/14; his views on whether many companies which have lost out on competing for smaller amounts of services in this large tender may be forced to close with the loss of jobs; if he is aware that in previous competitions, companies which competed in the quantitative part-lots were broken down by various categories of goods, which gave them the opportunity to compete; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
