6 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the proportion of new or existing local authority lettings which have been allocated to people in emergency accommodation throughout the country in the three year period since this commitment was made in Homelessness - An Integrated Strategy; the alterations which have been made in the schemes of letting priority approved by each housing authority under section 11 of the Housing Act 1988; the way in which these reflect the housing needs of people who are homeless as directed in section 9 of the Housing Act 1988 in view of the 2002 housing need assessment; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
