Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if the decision to discontinue the community mothers scheme in a number of areas in Dublin was taken by her Department or by the local Tusla managers; the rationale for this decision; the number of these programmes that were in place in 2014, 2015 and 2016; the number of women that availed of the services provided by community mothers during these years; the number due to close from January 2017; the funding provided for these services; and if any replacement is to be provided when this service is closed.
