Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Health if he will confirm the total provision to date made in the HSE budget in respect of its liability for unpaid Report 42 pay awards and arrears which were approved by the Government of the day with effect from 14 September 2007, sixteen years ago; the specific Department that is preventing the payment being made, his Department or the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform; what actions he has taken or intends to take to expedite payment and deal with this obvious injustice; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
