Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government his plans to reintroduce affordable housing schemes of the type suspended in 2012 for owner-occupiers and or renters rather than providing public land subsidies to developers in the hope that they will provide cheaper housing to home buyers as appears to be the model proposed in the land bank initiative.
