Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question No. 336 of 30 June 2021, if riparian planting and any new scheme including REAP to plant trees along rivers and watercourses to act as carbon sinks and interceptors of nutrients currently being prepared in which the size of the planting is less than 0.1 hectares in size cannot be accounted and reported under Ireland’s international reporting requirements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
