Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the availability of the option under the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act 2005 to direct that subsection 1 shall not be applied in the case of a person who having been a self-employed contributor makes a claim for the old age State pension (contributory) under section 110(2) of the Act with particular reference to the case of a person (details supplied); if she will request a review into the case with a view to putting the old age State pension (contributory) in payment; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
