Deputy Richard Bruton asked the Minister for Health if the new arrangement in which a resident of a nursing home under the fair deal scheme can sell the home and still have the contribution capped at 22.5%, can allow a resident to sell his or her home in the first year after entering the home on condition that the 22.5% is put into a protected account from which the HSE will be able to draw down the annual contribution until the required contribution is fully made.
