645 Deputy Regina Doherty asked the Minister for Health the process by which medical equipment is distributed in Ireland to persons who are discharged from hospital following operations; if he will provide an account in tabular form, of the number of wheelchairs, orthopaedic chairs, crutches and zimmer frames that have been distributed by the Health Service Executive to post-operative patients in the years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and to date in 2011 and the number of these pieces of equipment that have been recouped by the HSE following their use.
