Deputy Seán Crowe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if his attention has been drawn to increased attacks on indigenous communities and environmental defenders in Brazil; if his attention has been further drawn to the murder of a person (details supplied) which is part of a campaign of escalating violence against Amazon forest protectors; if his attention has been further drawn to the fact that 135 indigenous persons were murdered in 2018, an increase of almost 23% from 2017; and if he will raise the issue with his Brazilian counterpart.
