Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth what happened to the money from the sale of Sean Ross Abbey; the reason the Catholic Church is not funding the cost of addressing the injustices that took place there, rather than the taxpayer; if the money from the sale reinvested into religious orders or organisations; and if so, the reason the Government has allowed this, given that the organisation in question was responsible for illegal adoptions and forced separations.
