Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the reason certain children are excluded from the scheme (details supplied); who made the decision that a child who was in an institution before its classification changed would no longer qualify for redress; the justification the Government has for excluding children who suffered in these homes simply because of a technical reclassification; and if the Government will review this exclusion and provide redress for the survivors.
