Broughan asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the number of social workers currently required and that will be required in the next five to ten years to ensure that all necessary children and cases have a social worker allocated to them, with a manageable workload that allows for quality assessments and care plan implementation; the resources she will make available to Tusla, the Child and Family Agency to increase its staff and to reduce its ratios; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
