Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Health his plans for the elimination of HPV-related cancers within a generation while acknowledging that there is a national recommendation for HPV vaccination of women treated for CIN2+ lesions to reduce the risk of recurrent disease but no public funding currently exists for this high-risk cohort and in view of the fact that the introduction of such a scheme would achieve the Programme for Government dual aims to support the CervicalCheck screening programme and promote the uptake of the HPV vaccine; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
