Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the differences in reporting between the legal owner and the beneficial owner in terms of the mortgage arrears statistics published by the Central Bank when mortgage accounts are incorporated in a securitisation model; if, for example the legal owner is a regulated entity and the beneficial owner is not a regulated entity, the areas of the Central Bank's statistics in which this would be recorded; if this would be deemed to be a mortgage owned by an unregulated owner; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
