Deputy Kevin Humphreys asked the Minister for Social Protection for assessment under farm assist why are only some, rather than all payments under rural environment protection scheme, agri-environment scheme and special areas of conservation assessed, the reason the first €2,540 per year of payments under these schemes along with 50% of the balance is disregarded for income assessment when all expenses under the scheme can also be disregarded; and if she will provide a full list of the rules and regulations covering assessment of income for farm assist; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
