Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if his attention has been drawn to the fact that he is in breach of section 10 of the Irish Sign Language Act 2017 signed into law on 24 December 2017 which states that the Minister shall, not later than three years after the date on which this Act is enacted require a report to be prepared on the operation of this Act, that under this provision that the report should have been completed in December 2020 and legal liability that he has now exposed the State to arising from this failure to meet his statutory obligations.
