734 Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will take steps in conjunction with Waterways Ireland to provide Westmeath County Council with part of the funding required to enable the Green Bridge in Mullingar, County Westmeath to be replaced as same has been deemed unsafe for any vehicle in excess of three tonnes which has led to a weight restriction on the bridge; if his Department will liaise with Westmeath County Council in relation to the provision of the necessary funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
