Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 78 of 10 November 2021 and 172 of 18 November 2021, the projected revenue raised from legislated increases in the carbon tax in each year from 2021 to 2030 relative to the rate of €26 per tonne in 2020, in accordance with the emissions targets within the Climate Action Plan, of emissions reductions of 51% relative to 2018 levels such as the revenue raised from the new rate of carbon tax in 2026 relative to a rate of €26 per tonne, reflecting the emissions targets set out in the Climate Action Plan to 2026.
