Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to reports that up to 80 persons arrived in Ireland from the UK and South Africa up to 17 January 2021 without having provided evidence of a negative Covid-19 test; the person or body responsible for ensuring that newly arrived travellers or migrant workers from the UK and European countries with high rates of infection, South Africa or South America self-isolate for 14 days; the means by which they will ensure such self-isolation takes place; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
