Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Health the policy for the transfer of a GMS list when a principal general practitioner retires; currently there is an issue whereby a locum doctor who has worked in a GP practice at a location (details supplied) in County Westmeath for the past nine and a half years will not be offered the GMS list by the Health Service Executive following the retirement of the GP; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
