117 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs his views on research published recently by the NACD which indicates that one part of Dublin north city has a cocaine prevalence rate of 41% and that national usage among 15-34 year olds, at 10.5%, is now the highest ever recorded in the EU; if he acknowledges that Ireland now has a significant and increasing cocaine abuse problem; the new initiatives his Department intends to take to address the growing abuse of cocaine here, particularly in terms of the national drugs strategy; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
