Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Health in view of the fact that a decision has been taken to build a national paediatric hospital in St. James's Hospital, Dublin 8, if it is cost effective to continue to build new facilities in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, in view of the fact that the site is not owned by the State and that no future use has been decided for it post-construction of the new national paediatric hospital, and that the site and building could be sold with no financial benefit or recouping of cost arising to the State.
