Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Finance his views on the fact that while inflation and the cost of living increases currently taking place are severely impacting on ordinary workers and households, corporate profits continue to rise as they have done throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and over the last decade; his further views on whether new tax measures are needed to ensure that those that are doing well in the current environment contribute to easing the burden being imposed on the rest of society; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
