Deputy Terence Flanagan asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if he has concerns regarding figures from Focus Ireland showing that up to 40% of young persons leaving the care of the State that engage with the service are homeless; the steps that are being taken to ensure that young persons leaving the care of the State are supported to find suitable accommodation; if he will ensure that the recommendations in relation to after care as outlined in the Ryan report implementation plan will be fully applied; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
