Deputy Seán Kyne asked the Minister for Health regarding the difficulty in predicting the level of demand for emergency departments, owing to the nature of accidents and emergencies, if consideration has been given to creating special teams of medical staff who would work on a flexible and temporary basis in the accident and emergency department of each hospital within hospital groups as and when demand arises as such flexibility could alleviate current problems facing accident and emergency departments.
