Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the extent to which he continues to monitor the activities of unregulated third parties that have acquired distressed loans and mortgages from banks and building societies with particular reference to the urgent need to introduce a new code of conduct applicable to all that will give adequate protection to those borrowers that continue to make payments within their capacity and in line with pre-existing arrangements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
