Deputy Pat The Cope Gallagher asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if a commitment will be given to the representative bodies of the entire seafood sector in addition to the spokespersons for marine of the various parties within Dáil Éireann that he will consult them before he takes his next step in drafting an alternative to Statutory Instrument No. 89 of 2018, which Dáil Éireann rescinded, relating to serious fishing infringements in May 2018; his planned strategy for dealing with the issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
