163 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the circumstances in which financial support was approved by his Department for the construction of a marine centre at Dereenacallaha, Kenmare, County Kerry, despite reservations expressed by senior officials, and part of which has now been demolished due to the fact that it did not comply with planning requirements; the amount of financial support approved and the total amount paid out to date; if he intends to review the procedures for approving financial support for such projects in view of this experience; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
