Higgins asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if his attention has been drawn to a recent survey by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development showing that Irish pensions, on average, are among the lowest in the developed world at less than one third of final income; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this survey states that Ireland has the lowest pension rate at average earnings at 30.6%; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
