Deputy Derek Keating asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the reason for the delay in the new National Driving Licence Service centres; if he is satisfied that the City West office is capable of dealing with the volumes; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is currently up to eight to 12 weeks of a waiting list while some drivers have been warned by the Garda in relation to the fact that they do not have a current up-to-date licence which they are obliged to have by law; the provision he made to deal with this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
