805 Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs his views on whether it is equitable that a person designated a full-time student who has nevertheless been in employment for three days per week for over two years has been denied entitlement to jobseeker’s benefit having lost her job, despite the fact that they paid class A PRSI during their part-time employment; if she will review the requirement that only persons available for full-time employment are entitled to jobseeker’s benefit or alternatively review the PRSI payable by part-time employees; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
