Deputy Joe Neville asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration if his attention has been drawn to the unacceptable use of bunk beds in an IPAS centre (details supplied); if his attention has been drawn to an official inspection report dated 13 May 2025 that management at the centre attributed responsibility for this shortcoming to the contracting Department at that time; whether he regards such non-compliance with standards, along with associated overcrowding and inadequate wash basin and toilet facilities (as also raised in the same inspection report), as being serious breaches of State contract requirements; whether such non-compliance will be fully taken into account when the contract in question becomes due for renewal; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
